Who runs Mossmere
Two founders. No hand-offs.
Mossmere was built around being local, hands-on, and genuinely invested in the properties we manage. It started with something simple — scrolling Airbnb ourselves and noticing how many properties, in genuinely great locations, were being let down by listings nobody had put any care into. We met in 2022 and that stuck with us until we started Mossmere properly at the beginning of 2026.
Tom
Tom's background in relationship management, logistics and sales brings a unique people-first approach to Mossmere's clients. He now leads on client relationships and business development, ensuring every property managed is treated as though it were our own. Living on the edge of the Dales in Ilkley, Tom knows the area well.
Luis
With a career in accounting, Luis brings a strong commercial and financial perspective to property management. He works directly with real client accounts while completing his professional exams towards chartered status, combining technical expertise with a meticulous approach to managing properties and their finances.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you list on Booking.com and Vrbo, or just Airbnb?
All three — every property we manage is listed on Airbnb, Booking.com, and Vrbo at once, with availability synced automatically so there's no double-booking risk.
Do I need specialist insurance for my holiday let?
Yes — standard home insurance doesn't typically cover short-term letting. We ask every property owner to have appropriate specialist cover in place before we start managing your property.
I'm currently with another agency. What happens to my existing bookings if I switch?
We take over management of your existing listing directly rather than creating a new one, so your guest reviews and booking history stay exactly as they are. Any bookings already on your calendar transfer with it — you don't need to see them out yourself first.
How quickly can you take over?
If your listing and photos are already in good shape, usually 1–2 weeks from your first visit. If we're rebuilding the listing or arranging photography, allow three to four. Every switch starts with an in-person visit and a call with one of the two founders — never a form.
How do you handle keys and check-in?
Smart locks are our default wherever the property allows it — each guest gets a unique code for their stay, so there's no physical key handover to coordinate and no risk of a guest arriving to an empty property because a key exchange fell through. Where a smart lock isn't suitable for the door, we use a key safe instead.
Do you handle short-term-let licensing or registration?
Not yet, because there currently isn't one to handle — England doesn't have a mandatory short-term-let registration scheme yet, unlike Scotland. The UK Government has confirmed it intends to introduce one; when it does, obtaining and maintaining your property's registration will be part of our service, and we're monitoring it closely so you don't have to.
